P&L Staffing Services frequently hosts events for veteran and Wounded Warriors. For example, P&L has hosted numerous 'Recruiting Our Heroes' events aboard the USS Sequoia Presidential Yacht. The purpose was to find promising jobs and careers for over a dozen Wounded Warriors. At that event, P&L arranged for veterans to meet with numerous companies, including Deloitte, BAE, Amazon, Agilex, Intelvative and Trustwave AirWatch.
P&L Staffing Services is ready, willing and able to help interested veterans. Recent federal regulatory changes has caused some of our clients to more aggressively seek veteran employees. This is because the Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs' Final Rule for implementing the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act became effective on March 24, 2014. It prohibits federal contractors and subcontractors from discriminating in employment against protected veterans, and it requires these employers to take affirmative action to recruit, hire, promote and retain these veterans. We are assisting some of our federal contractor clients with complying with these requirements.
